Hands down one of the best brunches we've had in a while. A Hip gastropub serving eclectic Pan-Asian & American comfort dishes & bottomless brunch--- a perfect spot for just two or a small group. With a close friend packing up and moving up state we decided to have a a traditional Sunday afternoon in NYC, because let's be honest is brunching such a grand tradition anywhere else? I think not. Well, not like Nyer's do it at least. Well, we landed at Vekslers after much fanfare from close friends--- and they couldn't have been more right! Everything about this place is absolutely fantastic for a casual bottomless brunch. The food was absolutely amazing with a nice variety of dishes (but not to many as to overwhelm) and also serves vegetarian options! It was a great spot to satisfy everyone's wants.
The decor was warm and welcoming and very very Brooklyn, but in a good way. The staff was polite, welcoming and all around accommodating for our group--- even letting us sit there well after brunch ended.
We started the afternoon sharing a few small bites that included cheesy totes, scallion pancakes and soupy pork dumplings. I could have seriously eaten just that and been in complete bliss. We continued our meal with a selection of Avocado Smash, the Brunch Burger and Rich & Eggs steak tacos and the Breakfast sandwich. Everything was absolutely divine and filling. Sadly, my pictures won't come through but here is a great shot from their site giving an idea of our afternoon. I personally had the burger and it took everything in me not to eat it as fast as I wanted to because it was so good. Juicy and delicious and served just how i love it, medium rare.
Definitely a 5 star in our book and we highly suggest checking it out next time your in Brooklyn.
until our next Brunch adventure,
