Just like every season, the process begins with sketches. In some cases up wards to 100-150. With the launch of our newest collection, Eruption, I wanted to high light some of our favorite pieces and give a little about the pieces that build the collection. Often times, I fall in love with a specific shape and stone and create from there. The Bo necklace, Bo choker and Ali necklace or no exception to this. While on one of my many exploratory trips to the bead district in NYC, I fell in love with this black stone. They gave me a feeling of coal, but not. The were shiny and raw and very sexy. The rawness was like I had not seen before in a bead that was balanced with the sheen. Take from the rawness of the stones and intersecting them with edged rings, these stoned become pieces as they were intended to be.
